PROCESS
So the way I wrote New Aeterna is very different from how I've ever done anything else. I'm basically writing the story in big 30k chronological chunks, while scratching out notes and timelines on a separate page. Then I move the big chunk piece by piece into a new draft, clean it up and keep moving.
I'm not cutting anything into chapters, I'm just. . . going with the flow. This is one of the reason chapter lengths range from short to SUPER long with QC. . In my head I think of QC as a comic book. It's telling a whole story but it happens in mini-arcs (like issues).
I have no idea how I did PLT with all the chapter divisions and writing out of order. NEVER AGAIN. PLT pt. 2 might be fodder for NaNoWriMo.

Fresh from redeployment Leon decides to visit his old friend Isobel Charter, but is in for a rude awakening when Isobel tells him that she knows he and Sera attempted to assassinate Paris Prince. Leon rushes off to tell Sera and on the way gets wrapped up in a flashback.
Chapter 7 is a short one, I want to get these all out because these are all one "arc."
