Um, about this. I haven't looked at AGBWG in a while. I do invision it as being a shorter piece I think I'll hold off on the reposting. It's been so long since I've dived into theses characters that I want to do it right.

Darkness On The Edge Of Town

Once again this is the title of the Veritas Story I'm creating. Right now I'm still taking notes on Veritas I know what the story will be I just hope I get the characterization right, it  might be a little more involved and longer than it should be.

I can't take full credit for the title, it is actually the name of a very sucessful Bruce Springsten album. So I'm not as awesome with names as I seem (even though my kids have great ones).

I'm In Love

So this came out of nowhere but it seems that I have fallen in love with a new story idea. I have no idea where it came from, but I think it will be a fun mix of Litany Lane and Lost Angels and I'll get to incorporate a part of myself into it.  I don't have all the details but it will be a slight tak on a fairytale, so it is tenivaly called  An American Fairytale.

It will have a male protagonist and I already have his picspiration, feel free to speculate.

I guess I've bought up more questions that answers.

Wrapping it all up

Where The Idea Came from 

In the midst of DSI I realized two things

1. I enjoyed writing Rosalie as a character
2. I could do a little better


When I wrote Litany Lane I was super hesitant about continuing it, knowing the characters would be outside the world of Nightfall. I though it wouldn't work. However I thought HOF was a good sequel . . except for the cliffhanger ending which is why Desert Sand Iris came along (not a big fan of this name) arguably DSI is the end of the series.

I created JNRR because I love me some Drama. I wanted to play with the idea of writing a family since S&A. I just had this image of Rose and Clara doing as SH  calls it"breaking bad"

JNRR was supposed to be  a stand alone extra and while the events are important they don't really alter how the story would end. I just had this vision of Clara being arrested (originally while teaching) and sort of going though a dark phase

Family Drama

So I had this plan to post ABWG and JNRR together because I wanted to tell two differnt stories about "young families". I've known since I created Rose that she would have very absent-minded parents. This was kind of a "take-that" to a grat comment (By Ashlyn ) about how child protective services wouldn't find Tomfia as fit parents and I wanted to play around with what it means to be a good parent.

With that said I have genuinely had a blast. I'm going to miss the etheral, tense and escapist world that comes along with these characters. 

Harper's Hollow

Harper's Hollow is not an indication of further stories to go. In the end I wanted the characters to be in a place similar to Litany Lane. Harper's Hollow is a quirky little suburban place that is almost oddly perfect and inclusive.

I found the name by looking at sub-division names. I mis-matched them till I found one I liked.

 I heard 42 by Coldplay and this was one of the first scenes I wrote. Although all this poppy new-age swing music makes me think things, it won't lead to anything. Although you all make me want to write some Peter/Clara. You also might be able to finagle a diary entry out of me, maybe some short pieces (No, LiLe stop this is how Saved By The Bell : The New Class was created.)

First of all I love the title Blessed Hearts. The world creatred in this story is highly imaginative, light, airy . . .
heavenly ? Since the first chapter and teaser I've been a bit obssed with the idea of  Blessed Hearts world being intermingled with Litany Lane and the character of Dark. I just have thoughts and i didn't get a chance to tell you when we were together. Maybe LiLe will start writing fanfiction. (: kidding !

P.S My Shawna Vance (Veritas) serial inspiration is called Darkness On The Edge Of Town. I'll wait for a few repost before I start writing fleshing it out.

Moving On 

I'm going to put it out there that I have no plans to reboot Lost Angels, Spirits or S&A. I am going to work on Angel : Black White and Gray. While doing re-reads I'm shocked at what I put the characters through. Why do they allow me to do this ?

Angel Black White & Gray will take place back in Petal Brooke I don't see it being more than 8 chapters.

I have to tell you though I am itching to write a Love Story. It's been so long. Any ideas ?

Dirty Dozen & Baker's Dozen

Chapter 11

Sometimes things happen in my head outside of cannon and I use them to infer things in the story. I noticed this came up in a lot in a few comments, because it is never directly addressed. In my head Rosalie has reconciled that Mr. Fierro is her father and I never put it in the story, I just inferred it.

It was hinted at in chapter 9, originally when Rosalie is running her fingers over Mr. Fierro's name on the grave stone she asks him if Fierro is her last name, but I took it out because Rosalie's not an asking kind of girl. However when she calls him "Papa" in the story it's the first time she has said it.

Anywho, like I said in comments she wouldn't call him "Father" because that's what Clara calls her dad. "Daddy" is a little to intimate and Mr. Fierro is very aware of how much older he is than her and doesn't quite feel young enough to be her "Dad"

Good Intent
Here is the music video for Good Intent.  I like the sort of underlying story of the music video and the dancing isn't bad either. I think it could potentially go along with this story.

I wrote the 'Pie' section to Sweet Prince, a song which  is actually about drugs and was for ABWG. I think it's the perfect song for Tomas so we may see it again . I always meant to get rid of this particular part it but instead I edited it and added it in. I was slightly inspired by the We Need To Talk About Kevin trailer, which focuses on food.

I also wrote Claudia's part to 3OH!3 Don't Trust Me.

I wish I had more to blog about. . .

Chapter 11
We aren't bankrupt of chapters yet, as for our character morality ? I think "Bookish: said it best What happened after Fierro left Mr. Delune ? ? Why does [Clara] have the vial ? And when did she take it ? 



This chapter is kind of a bridge, but I think some of you will see what you were on to.

Note : All chapters "end" with third person so this chapter is split into two small sections. Don't worry it's all one chapter.

When I started this I really wanted JNRR to be a linear story but once again I relied on my out of order story telling, so I hope it lays out. The trick I suppose is that chapter 8 and 9 are the same events told from a differnt perspective.

I think if you read chapter 9 and then 8 it helps put it into context a lot of Claudia's actions.

Chapter 10

Chapter 10 will help meld everything together and might throw a slight wrench in some theories, After this I promise no more questions will be asked.

While Clara's family bickered about wills, divorces and inheritance. Claudia and Mr. Fierro had plotted to murder Martin all to the tune of 65 million dollars. But when Martin becomes suspicious of Mr. Fierro he takes actions into his own hands.


Fierro's certain somethings gone wrong. He may have poisoned Martin DeLune but it certainly didn't kill him. Thank goodness he can blackmail his new bride

I would argue that chapter 8 and  9 are interchangeable. I'm 83% sure that I wanted chapter 9 to be posted first but I think it flowed better this way. Just something to think about.




Chapter 9
This is the chapter I mentioned a while ago that I had to re-write from scratch after losing it in a "Save As" "Replace" accident. I never realized how long this chapter was yet it still feels very short to me. It's 6,650 words so it will make up for last time.

This is the last chapter I already had finished. So hopefully when I post next time the entire story would have been finished.

Although I think I want throw something up (not chapter) about Lost Angels.

I couldn't remember all of my song choices so I had to do some recon and steal some song from previous SH playlist. I found so many good ones.

Parts of chapter 7 were written first and orginally I didn't "know" Clara was going to be left at the altar and I wanted to use the song She Is The Sunlight. The lyrics were prefect.

Picspirations

I though it would be nice if Clara wore a vintage non-flashy wedding dress and I really like this one.

I started posting this story before I had the entire plot flushed out and I never really planned for their to be a wedding, but after seeing this photo on Tumblr I just became inspired.

Um, I wish I had more to say but I don't. . . so we'll just mozy on to chapter 8. Yes this chapter is short but it compensates for the next chapter which is a shockingly 6,000 words.

As I was making notes and thinking about how I have so little characters to work with I had a thought. It's odd but the more I think about it, the more I think Clara and Tomas would make a kick-ass couple ( I also think the same thing about Rhett and Alan but I digress).

In case you are wondering Mr. Fierro and Sofia creeps me out, just typing it makes me cringe.

Small Lakeside town where Mr. Fierro and Lucie grew up. Rainer has a house here and is staying there while she is investigating.

Upper class community where Clara and her family lives.

This is where Martin's body was found. Now I took a very big poetic license with this, for the purpose of this story NYC is within driving distance to Rochester.
