Go Fish

Epigraph ?

Maybe not really epigraphs, but a few lyrics in some of the songs really stuck out to me in realtion to the story, so at the very last minute I decided to include them into the chapter headings. I should have mentioned this.

Blog-Block
I  am in a bit of blogging block but I've decided to do something fun. I'm going into my archives and will blog about a post I did this time of year in the past.  Wouldn't you believe all those years ago I was in the trenches with Spirits and Angels.

Not much to say there. Although I did say I had an idea of what S&A would entail. That was a lie.

Also, Sam_L's comment is still true to this day. . . kind of  ?

Chapter 8
Paris is unable to kill Seraphina and vows to find another way, but someone might make the move for him.

  1. I guess some things never change ! I have however seen the merits of a good outline !

"Hmm", Hippolyta says, "I wonder if the fries are baked or fried ?"
ARE YOU MAKING FUN OF ME LILE ? (:

    1. Oh, yes. This chapter has a UL reference. I meant to put it in the Author's Note. Juliana is my mini-inspy for Ariel.

  2. What a cool new feature ! It’s funny to see who has been sticking around all this time. Do you know about what parts of S&A you were doing at time ?

    3. I think this was before I posted it so it has to be the first four chapters. To think I called that outlining. pft

  3. I love that we are getting more about Hippolyta. Is she wearing heels so she is taller than Sera ?

  4. I don't know Hippolyta seems kind of insensitive to everything. I kind of had an idea something was going to happen to her. I wonder what Sera sees in her ?

    1. Well, they do both like to rebel against Queen Anne’s rules....

    2. Hippolyta is very popular, dramatic and outspoken and that's why Sera likes her. Opposites attract and all. Also she is pretty so . . .

  5. Aww, Ariel is taking my heart away. I love that she says Caden looked like adventure.

    1. I mean so do I but... this is the second time she’s fed up things for the Angels. The first was with Caden getting into the apples and now this.

    2. @ Illia - and how

@sugarcookie - I just get all the feels about Ariel when it comes to Caden

  6. It’s so sad the Civil Wars broke up, their music is beautiful. Pretty much all of it reminds me of Lux/Bellum. I can't think of the name of their most popular song, but the one about "I don't love you, but I always will," reminds me of PariSera !

  7. Did you ever get afraid you'd run out of the Greek names for the SGI ?

    1. I’m surprised Helios hasn’t started making the Angels take on Greek names too.

    2. My favorite Greek name is Cassandra from Agammenon because she can see the future but it cursed with no one believing her.

    3. @Quinn - No. The names actually came first. Although a male Angel has a non-greek name. I don' t know if he has been mentioned yet. His name is Faust. I just like that name.

@ Remi - Well, he wanted Sera to change hers to Artemis but she wasn't having it

      @Appletini - Oh, interesting

    1. Yeah, I wonder how they feel about the Angels not having wings. Is that weird for them or do they think it's kind of hot.

    2. @ HPgirl - um, no.

      @Coraline - It's actually odd for them.

  9. Hmm, the comment above makes me wonder if any of the Angels/SGI are siblings or like family ? Is there any chance of that ?

    1. It's be hilarious if Helios was like her Dad or something.

      Delete
    2. @Bookworm - Ariel did some math to figure out that Helios would be to young to be her father and Helios and Sera are from the same town so they aren't related. As far as I know none of them are related.

  10. Okay thinking about ages (which I know is complicated here)...Is Ariel significantly younger than Jona ? They are both the youngest of their people, but it seems like Jona gets to do more.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. It’s probably because of Jona’s position.

      Delete
    2. Even if you go by their real ages or relative ages Jona will always be 8 years older than Ariel. She's "16" and he is "23" . This is interesting though.

  11. Okay, so I am currently reading through S&A and can I just say...swoon ! ! ! I mean it's tough, but so it their love. Do you think you'll ever explore non-fantasy again ?

  12. Oh no he didn’t ! I can’t believe Helios is talking smack in the locker room.

    1. I kind of wonder why he’d even admit that he can’t please a woman..

      Delete
    2. @ HPGirl - Well. . . he can't please one woman in particular. In this context he as probably insulting/blaming her.

  13. She doesn’t see Helios look up and shake his head in exasperation clearly entertained. He mouths something to her back and happily gathers the cards.

Oh snap, was this supposed to be Leon or did Helios accidentally walk in on this ?

  14. Leonidas/Sera...I ship it...hard.

    1. So do I...but I also kind of like what Sera said about them getting to be a family I think thats important.
