Where have I been ? I was on such a roll. I had chapter 10 and 11 down. They just needed major clean up and I think I got overwhelmed and the music-spiration just wasn't there. I just remember rampantly poaching songs from old SHV play-list then blacked out.
IDK if I mention this but I've actually touched/written every single scene in this serial. I wrote a 30K (not counting the 20K for chapter 10 and 11) bare bones of the entire serial in January and just need to fill in the lines. So many lines.
With that said I feel like I'm back in the saddle. I think Pinterest help me find my mojo. I even updated the Pinterest board with a New Aeterna board of what I imagine Paris and Sera's Modern BDSM dungeon looks like.
BIG Recap
It's Summer 2017 and Harrison County has two new residents, Paris and Seraphina Prince. The slightly unusual couple have moved to Harrison County, CT because Paris has been elected to district supervisor. Sure, it was a quickie special election and yes his tiny district is populated with more businesses than residents and sure his political party was able to easily write him in but he is here to make a difference.
This is Paris' first big break in politics; but he struggles to get the respect he wants from his fellow supervisors, all of whom have lived and worked in the county for decades. Instead, Paris is left to handle a tedious federal audit. Paris does a little digging and he soon discovers the Board of Supervisor's Chairman, Cortland Day, has been covering for his deceased father who embezzled millions of dollars from the county for 40 years.
Paris wants to confront Chairman Day but he needs more evidence. With Seraphina's help he begins collecting evidence against Day. While her unusual profession might stand out in the small town it makes her the perfect person to distract Day while Paris searches his house for more evidence against him.
Things are JUST getting started and to see how far Paris and Seraphina are willing to go....we have to go back and see how far Paris and Seraphina have come.
We flash back eight years to discover how the unlikely couple met (him an ambitious Harvard honor student and her a homeless alcoholic recently discharged from the military) and married in the mid-2000s.
After a rough first two years of marriage Paris and Seraphina move to Washington D.C where Paris gets a master's from Georgetown. Here they are introduced to the BDSM lifestyle and Sera begins working as a Domme to help support them financially. When the money begins rolling in, her job becomes her new career.
When Paris' ambitious plans for Sera's high-end Domme career cause trouble in the local community, they decide to start over in NYC where Paris is getting an MBA at Columbia. Sera joins the high-end adult entertainment establishment The Gilded Cage but Paris' ambition quickly take over and after barley a year in NYC, they decide to open up their own high-end BDSM dungeon in SoHo with the help of Sera's wealthy clients.
They have the money, they have the clients and the reputation. New Aeterna could be a success but Paris and Sera don't want to be beholden to anyone, especially not their investors. They have given themselves one year to make as much money as possible and buyout their investors. Can they do it ? or will they lose everything.
