I decided to give my blog a little makeover to change things up and inspire me to post more. Of course the new Blogger turned out to be a lot to wrestle with. I reverted back to old blogger but it's a little glitchy, so I'll probably be going through some changes. The other layout was just to many colors.
I pre-wrote this blog post and then...took a break.. so I moved the scheduled post back and decided to do a mini .GIF Post.
When I originally wrote this post four month agao I was chugging along with edits to Rogue.
When I originally wrote this post in May I'd lost Chapter 6 and Chapter 9 was still an empty page and I had about 6K of words left to bang out.
Now ? well I've got all the chapters broken out and ~3k left to finish the serial.
I wanted to wait until ALL the chapters are polished...but I like to incorporate feedback

I came up with a generic title. I'm looking for something part 50 shades of gray part political thriller. I'm thinking Cold Silence to keep with the "nickname"
Somehow that first act is 26K
The second act is 37K
...and I haven't gotten to the conflict yet. This is mostly due to the flashbacks, such a crutch, but Years really inspired me to dig into origins. Though I think this serial will make for a entertaining comment section, Because you should see my Google Search history
I have also taken some liberties with two super minor (Well one super minor and one minor) SHV characters that might get me in trouble. You will literally never guess which ones. As for my other serials I've been hinting at well..
Honestly when I think about Celestial Hollow or Red Booth I get a little frustrated because I don't know where to start or end. I've really been eye-balling my Litany Lane Novella, Liapri for a little ocean side getaway and just egregious author/fan service.
New Aeterna : Lux Aeterna AU Recap
In this Lux Aetenra Alternate Universe Helios Thantos succeeds in his 2013 plan to take the island of Manhattan for himself. His Regime last for 10 years until he is overthrown by the resistance headed by Paris Price. It's been 5 years since Paris Prince's revolution overthrew Helios' Regime. Paris was in power for the first three years until his shady political dealings and a night of violent protest by a group of people wanting to reunite Manhattan with the U.S changed everything.
18 months after the protest New Aeterna has a Prime Minister and even though Paris isn't a king he still holds power and secrets. His biggest secret being that Helios Thantos is still alive and escaped from custody the night of the riots.
Leon, Helios former lieutenant, and Sera have restarted Helios' old mercenary company SGI, and are using their resources to track down and Helios once and for all. They've also pulled in Adonis from Little Rebellions. Adonis is a reformed Helion who was guarding Helios the night he escaped. He was beaten and the one wing he was born with was taken from him that night.
Chapter 4 Recap
Seraphina, Paris and Leon make a clandestine trip to Mexico to find Helios...but Helios finds them first. Now they have been kidnapped and separated on Helio's makeshift compound with his ragtag militia known as The Legion. Helios wants to recruit Seraphina to be his assassin but when she refuses he brutally disfigures her, giving her a smile scar to match her husbands and then threatens to kill Leon's family. Out of loyalty to Leon, Sera agrees to take the job for Helios....killing Prime Minister Edwin Bless.
But this chapter is not about that. This chapter takes place about a week after they are captured and focuses on Aria. She is the oldest Angel Sister and was Helios wife during the Regime. She and Leon have a family together and they will do anything to protect their girls who are the next generation. Aria works for the Prime Minister's wife and has aspirations to be in government.
This chapter will show my 'Grand Unifying Vision' for Queen & Country, Arrow, Little Rebellions and Rogue. I put breadcrumbs of things I knew I wanted to happen in the universe in these novellas with the hope I could revisit them later. Now is later.
Quick Glossary
Regime - Period from 2013-2023 where Helios Thantos rose to power, invaded the Island of Manhattan and created his own dictatorship, New Aeterna.
Revolution or Prince's Revolution - 2023 seige on New Aeterna that ended the Helion Regime.
Helion - Male Angel who served under Helios.
Defectors - Helions or male Angels who left the Regime and activly worked to take Helios down who were granted clemency after The Regime.
For reference sake Leon and Aria have four daughters. Athena (5) and Helena (2 1/2) who were in QC and then Hera (18 months) and Callista (7 months)
