New Covers
So I started updating my website and I totally forgot that it would show my changes when I published a new chapter of Rogue...so here is a round-up of new covers you will start seeing on the sites. Why I was even looking at these will become clear at the end of the post. I also wanted to take out the random celebrity photos/advertisements I used and use Royalty-free free images.
*The one at the end is for the Seraphina NA-verse POV novella I shared a few posts ago. Not a new story.

Let's Talk Cannon
I took this out of my last post because it was to long. The cannon for the New Aeterna Verse is a little twisty. I think the big thing to remember is that I dropped the ball on Bellum III. New Aetenra "replaces" Bellum III. Originally Bellum III was supposed to take place 10 years after Bellum II and feature our characters as resistance fighters in a semi-dystopia but I couldn't figure out how to do the tone shift.
Bellum II being cannon is important because at the end Sera runs away to St. Lilth's with Ariel because she was almost killed by Helios after he finds out she was having an affair. In New Aeterna, Helios goes after the Demons and this is where the storylines divides. One of the reasons Sera runs and gets captured is because of how traumatic that night was.
I of course later figured out how to write he dystopia version and I can't seem to let go. The big issue is I retconned New Aeterna as it ends with the characters resetting to the OG Cannon.
Muse : Okay, let's just re-write the end of New Aeterna like you said in the comments
Lils : I said I was... and I've tried...but then I remembered why I can't.
Muse : Why ?
Lils : Well, the fact that Pars is using Theo (New Aeterna's 100% toxic unreliable narrator) to carry out a secret plan where he defies Seraphina to reset the timeline is the plot. I can't just snip off the end. It's baked in.
Muse : So what now ?
Lils : Well...I've considered re-writing New Aeterna from Sera's POV and writing an ending that flows better into New Aeterna-verse. But at this point...it's just an idea. I'm not even sure I can do it.
SHV Would be Proud
I stumbled e across a SHV post with a snippet of the Compulsion outline and I was in awe because I have NEVER been able to outline a serial since Litany Lane. For fun, I made myself do one for Aren't You Cold and it's really eye opening. I typed out the generally plot, character's motivations and the "There There" of it all. I wanted this to be a Grip-lit but it's leaning more into dark humor but it's not as...obtuse as the AU!Novella it's based on .
AYC takes place in 2017 but has a ton of flashbacks to Human AU!Seraphina/Paris's early relationship that came to me out of order. I find myself having to research to write about thier early twenties.
Muse : Wait...so you've been looking up music and stuff ?
Lils : Yeah, see they graduated high school in 2006 and meet again in 2007/2008 so I've been looking up technology stuff and searching songs for--

Muse : That's right Lils you already wrote a story about a young married couple in the mid-2000s. And back then it was contemporary. You don't have to Google for research on the mid-2000s you can just re-read the Tomas/Sofia stories which go from 2006-2010. You are literally re-writing the same story.
Lils : But...but...this is different
Muse : How ? They live in New York City, right ?
Lils :I mean for a little bit but--
Muse : Isn't one helping the other through college
Lils : Yes, but in--
Muse : Also aren't Human!Paris and Tomas both gangly moody pale dudes with black hair married to brown-haired women ?
Lils : Okay, I wanted the Angels to have black hair--
Muse : You've really come full circle Lils. Don't even get me started on how s Celestial Hollow is basically Litany Lane again.
Lils :IT'S DIFFERENT. Ugh... I need an original idea....
So, yeah my brain broke when I realized this . I was looking up songs from 2008 and I was like...wait...this is my playlist for Lost Angels. It sort of feels like Aren't You Cold is some sort of "response" to Tomas/Sofia and it's totally not because.Seraphina and Paris are less earnest, less messy and have a ton more fun in the same circumstances as Tomas/Sofia.
Leon and Seraphina have intel that Helios is in Mexico, so they head across the country under the guise of a vacation but as they wait in paradise for Helios a few buried truths come to the surface.
*Also something to keep in mind is that Leon knows all the male Angels so he doesn't really introduce them. He just knows them by name.
