It's official the Emile novella is called Sincerely, Emile
I've been trying to write these Litany Lane "mini-serials " and one of the issues I'm having is just how contemporary they are. I feel like they are missing a preternatural element that will make it read less like fanfiction I sort of feel like the trailers for Ari Aster's Midsommar and Hereditary have the "aesthetic" I should lean towards. Litany Lane has theses unsettling revelations in idyllic settings that are tied up in family secrets, death with paranormal consequences.
I mean the most "paranormal" element I can really come up with is that both Sincerely, Emile and "Blue Water" would be about the characters actually talking and acknowledging their time in Litany Lane.
Goodwill of Sofia Madigan 10
After kicking Tomas out of her life, Sofia sells the car and is intent on focusing on her case and finding steady ground again.
Tomas has moved in with Veronica and her mother, while he's happy to have a place to stay he is constantly surrounded by drugs which can be tempting as he tries to withdraw and detox on his own.'
Okay, so everything from chapter 10 on was written all at once. The next chapter is a shortie, so I'm trying to think of how to blog around that.
