I am floored by everyone's reactions and yes some of you theorist are more on the nose about tiny things !
Chapter 2 is a shortie chapter and more of a continuation of chapter 1. Chapters 1-4 were orginally all together so the break up is hard to pace.
What The Hell Hero ? *gold stars*
Yes, the characters in this story are older. They only age about once every 55-65 years and since they've been wandering for 1028 years they have only aged 16-19 years. With the main character being 8-10 at the time they began their journey he now looks around 27-28 -ish.
The narrator in this story is a bit. . . biased in his version of things. He is also some what detached from his own reality, so some of this might start to feel like it's in third person.
I'll bring picspirations soon.

CHAPTER TWO
Well, like I said in my post when I explained characters, I took the name from a Dutch painter named Melchoir Broderlam, so I think it’s fair game. It’s not even really a demonic name.
ReplyDeleteI’ve actually gone back and re-read some of Blessed Hearts and I have no memory of writing any of it and I completely forgot I had revised it for a repost party, so it doesn’t feel like you are taking from me at all.
That's right Melchoir is than name of one of the Magi not a demon. I guess I should have said that I was going for slightly biblical names.
DeleteI should also mention The Transgression was my version of The Shift. So that was like that last thing.
Damn, son LiLe got dark !
ReplyDeleteI know I know.
Delete
ReplyDeleteWait, so can either the Angels or Demons reproduce ? I mean won’t they want to to keep their legacy going.
This gets addressed later.
DeleteI just have to know how in the world Sofia and Thomas’ story started all of this ?! I’m guessing like something about a ‘magical’ costume shop or something ?
ReplyDeleteNo, I'll say this. In the OG idea Sofia's Halloween costume is an Angel . . .
DeleteWait that came out wrong.
DeleteThat was short. So, is the human male or female ? It’s not mentioned. Or is that a surprise
ReplyDelete
DeleteI’m guessing it’s a girl
I really like the New York City vibe ! I mean the only way to make it better is to set in Boston, but still !
ReplyDeleteI love me some Bostom, but as you can tell I love me some NYC too.
DeleteSo, in this universe the fashion industry is run by a bunch of demons...yeah, that seems right
ReplyDeleteYeah, there is totally a trope for that.
DeleteUh, I love the transatlantic accent. I wish it was still around.
ReplyDelete
ReplyDeleteIDK, I’m just finding this all to be a bit squicky and kind of violence porn. I mean, is it coming to some end or have some meaning ?
Well, I kind of have a theory (based on the mentions of paintings) that this story is like based on some of those gory Renaissance paintings, so maybe that is where it comes from.
DeleteYes, this does go to some dark corners and it is like that for a reason, to understand the sort of hostile environment the characters come from and why the Angels and Demons don't get along.
DeleteI’m excited for picspirations, have we had any character descriptions yet ?
ReplyDeleteWell, Paris has dark hair.
DeleteNot to mention the medium colored hair ? Is that like brown-ish ?
DeleteHer hair is brown.
DeleteSo, if we are going with Angel songs, I’m assuming Train’s Calling All Angels is going to make an appearance. Y/Y ?
ReplyDeleteNo, but other Angel songs will be featured.
Delete*looks at Paris Prince and reminds self not to think about Michael Jackson’s kids*
ReplyDeleteOh, wow I did not catch that. Oh well.
Delete
ReplyDeleteWow, that was a quick update ! So, who is Peter ? I thought I saw that name in here somewhere.
Oh, right. So Seraphina (An Angel) is standing at the gate typing in the code like. . . Peter at the pearly gates.
DeleteIt's a joke (see it's not all dark. . . ? ). Originally in this part Seraphina corrects him and tells him her name but telling him her name seemed like to friendly a thing for her to do.
I can’t tell if this is supposed to be depressingly realistic or kind of cheeky.
ReplyDeleteBoth, actually.
DeleteSo, I’m guessing Queen Anne’s is really just a cover for the angels ? It seems like the demons had the better idea since people are more likely to just walk up to a school.
ReplyDeleteYes, it's a cover. Paris seems to think this isn't the best idea too. The school is gated on all sides so it keeps people out.
DeleteOh, hey is there a reason Lux isn’t on the LL website and doens’t have a cover-y thing ?
ReplyDelete*Iz lazy*, I'll work on it. There is this
Deletehttp://lindaleighlostangels.yolasite.com/lux-aeterna.php
Maybe I'm missing it, but can you explain how this is kind of femenistic ? I mean I pick up on that is has this whole men vs. women thing, but is that it ? It seems like they are divided on more principles than just their gender. Or is there something deeper ?
ReplyDeleteI smell a blog post *prods lovingly*
DeleteWell, the women/angels don't conform to stereotypical gender roles for one. I mean the two races are basically equal
DeleteOkay, so I KNEW this was coming and I'll explain this around chapter 5 or 6. The feminist part is more on the approach than the actually characters. Gender does play a big part in this.
DeleteThis totally has a different feel. It has lots of interesting concepts, but all I find myself doing is looking for the alpha couple, so i can think of ship names.
ReplyDeleteWell, Jonathan and Ashe are kind of a Beta couple ? We'll hear more from them in the coming chapters.
