I have now learned that it's best to write in chunks because a large document slows things down a bit. I guess apart from that I do have an update ! And now that I'm in the swing of things I'd love some honest opinions if you have them. This was a somewhat silent chapter but I suggest Winter by Josh Radin, over and over again. I'm so nervous but here goes.

Wow, an update I can't believe it! I am so excited, it was so awesome everthing I expect from Spirits& Angels !

ReplyDeleteAt first I though the name Alley-Rose was a play on the fact that the two first officially "met" in the alley.
ReplyDeleteTomas is a tattoo snob-- No tracing ! I would kill my tattoo artist if they said that.
ReplyDeleteYou mentioned Mrs. Alexander was going to be more of an unlikable character but I actually like her she seems to care about her son.

ReplyDeleteI hate that Tomas has AIDS ! It is sooo sad. I can't imagine ! This chapter was a great start.

ReplyDeleteIt's weird I always assumed Tomas had no direction in life but, now I think it is Sofia because she never seems to be *doing* anything besides whining

@ Delia - What he means is he draws his own original stencils, meaning he won't do a stencil of tinkerbell or a logo.
Okay, you want honest ? I'm here to give you an honest review.
ReplyDeleteI love how you are giving your sections names, that adds to that foreshadowing which, I think makes reading more interesting.
I love seeing Tomas and Sofia outside of their world of Petal Brooke even for a few seconds,it brings the story to reality.
I love seeing the character of Tomas evolving more.
Now,on to the bad
It wouldn't be a real critique unless I found something questionable or that I didn't like but, I honestly cant think of a thing. It was a little short ?
I don't know I think I will have to read more.
But, I did love it
This was really great. When they used the word piece de resistance it made me think it would be awesome if Tomas was French.

It was everything I imagined and more. Although I live in NYC and I have no idea how they afford an apartment and studio space. If I were them I would live in the studio.

@ Audra - They were staying up till midnight for their first anniversary.
If they spend all their time together, how did she not now about the tounge ring ? Those things are painful and people tend to lisp when they have them.
