One of your characters names is Julia ? Is that another slip ? Is that what you are going to take slack for ?

I really like this chapter too. I couldn't believe the Stranger was a real song, it fit the story perfectly. You are doing so good. I know I said we shouldn't acknowlegde it but, it's creepy how our stories are taking similar routes, some you are not even aware of.

I know right ! I mean you have no idea and I thought Juliana’s nickname was Julie. There are a few more things you might notice. I was going to take the bruise covering make-up out when I saw it in UL but I didn’t. reading UL also made me realize I should mention a free clinic.

Oh, also in United Light, Brad's origininal name was Derek but I changed it because I think of Derek as a name for handsome young men (Derek from Swan Princess, Derek Hough . . . ).

I hate when you leave subtle hints about something you did but, I will go ahead and guess. You've talked about Sofia beinf affected by her rape in tiny ways but, now you've put it in a more emotional way. I have no clue.

Also I think when you said you will get slack for something it's either Sofia's need to clean or Sofia apologizing to Tomas instead of the other way around.

I find it interesting that Tomas and Sofia have set up those rules but, they don't seem to be keeping up with them.I'm just afraid what will happen when Tomas meets Adam. Oh, wait I think you are going to pull a Sixth Sense . . . wait, can I call that ?

So, his brother's SO name is Julia. With a J, right ?

That's another 10 points, which is great because the Sarah Conner Chronicles 3rd season and the first season of Castle comes out this week.

Stuff like Sofia thinking Tomas had the dead cat are moments that make me want to look up and see the scene taking place in my office, er I mean living room, lol ! Just the way it was written was so fantastic. I usually am not a commenter but I had to come and speak out.

His brother's name is Amadaeus, that is timeless. Is their a story behind it.I love Adam's family, they are funny and sweet. I read the song before listening and it was just as I imagined, I love this chapter.

No, I just wanted them to have similar names even though Amadeus is German. I originally wanted him to have a name like John Adams or Patrick Adams.

I feel like it's both liberating and fun that Tomas is living his dream with his business and all but, as the above said has he considered who will take over if he dies. I doubt he had health insurance pre-AIDS and now it must be sky high.

it's strange that Tomas and Sofia are married but, they don't know about Adam or Terry. I tell my husband everything, he knows all the women I work with even though he has never met them,lol.

I feel like I should reserve all opinions until the series is over. I feel like everytime I want this to be over you pull me back in with a moment or scene that makes me want it to go on forever.

I just want to show some love because I feel like I can't make a comment without feeling like it will be off base or something. Or me seeing something out of nothing

I do it all the time on Shawna’s blog, I don’t expect comments but I respond because want people to know that I read their comment.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned the Derek-Sofia scene.

I found that very emotional too. I actually felt her pain, I was right there fighting with her. I myself love reading and having intellectual conversation that is civilized but, I wish Tomas raped him with that revolver. I hate men, no people like that so much.

So, Roberts is his last name so he said I'll just want to be called Robert . . . who does that ? That is either cute or funny. Unless it's a British thing.

He finds it hard working with a unique name but being called Roberts is a little weird so he shortned it.

I feel like they can't catch a break, it is just so tragic. I am glad Tomas helped her, like even though he was sick, he got over it to protect her.

I'm sure you will answer this late but, why does Tomas call Sofia, Sofytė. Also, is their an accent in Tomas's name so it is actually

toMAS and not Tomas

It’s pronounced Tomas, and I mentioned this a while back about how the Lithuanian language uses a lot of diminutives and adding ytė was one that worked well with Sofia’s name. He was supposed to call her that earlier hince why I posted about it.

I am finding meaning in everything from their book choices to the names,it is killing me. I mean Adam carries a guitar but, plays the piano does it mean anything ?

I am super concerened for Tomas' mother. I have always known domestic violence was bad but when you have something like Sofia's injuries it just cracks up my heart. I think Sofia should go look for her.

It's odd, I didn't percieve him wiping his eye as crying until I read this for the 3rd time ( I admit it). Tomas really is a sensitive guy and with all the drugs you forget that. Just my thought

I really like Severine's passage. She has always come off as one dimensional but then in one paragraph I just got her. It all clicked.

Whew, I was a little concerned about switching to her POV but I felt she could tell it best.

This was my favorite too, it was riddled with some good quotes. I think some people will give you slack for TomFia never doing Christamas or V-day together but, I think they have more important things to do.

I mean Sofia has school and Tomas has work, but nice observation.

Chapter 4

The Plan
Okay so I mentioned that Chapter 4 was just a section. Originally Adam invites Sofia to his show when they go to lunch, then Sofia comes home to find Tomas never went to work and he had been calling her because he decided to attend the conference and went out drinking with friends.

Convention
There really was a Tattoo conference in Vilinus this September and it all just clicked, the name however is a mixture of different Tattoo convention names.

The Dresser
When writing chapter four I think the hardest part was deciding what Sofia had in her dresser drawer. The perfume bottles are what she used to keep her pills in and and the lipstick has it's own section.

Extension
The section where Tomas is speaking about what he does have an extension on it because I wanted to add some sexual tension but I didn't think it worked to well, you can read it here

Chapter 5

Severine
I was a little unsure about letting Severine have a "speaking" role but I think it's a nice way to get perspective on the other characters. I don't know if I'll do it again though.

Taking Slack
I said before that I would get slack for something and it's the fact that I put lyrics into a story, I didn't want to do it but sometimes reading the lyrics helps tell the story and the word "Angel" is in the song so I had to

Original Plan
So like I said up there orignially the whole ordeal with Tomas overdosing was not apart of the plan, it went straight from Tomas telling Sofia he was leaving to her going out and I felt like something was missing. Amadeus and Julia also were not in the final version but I was inspired by my own family to put them in and I wanted Adam to have some people on his side.

Lipstick
I think in my other scribblings I had inadvertently given Tomas a slight lipstick Fetish. Now don't be judgmental but I decided to make it come full circle in this chapter. Going back first hinted at in Free Spirts

Section one

". . . concentrating on her lips as she blew her freshly painted nail "

"He felt her cool breath on his hand and he placed his thumb on his mouth parting her full red lips"

Section three

"Watching her part her pretty pink lips just about kills me" Then in S & A , the first chapter he describes the pin-up girl ". . .the click of red heels, fish net stocking and a short skirt followed by bright red lips and dark eyes. . ."

So I did have a reason to have the lipstick in a drawer which is why when somone commented about Tomas being a vampire (he's not, btw) I had already written that he sucks the lipstick off her lips so, that's that. I'm sure if you know the history of lipstick you'll probably get a little more out of it.

Plot Hole
So, there is one plot hole that I don't think I can fill and that is Tomas is technically not an American citizen, he could have dual citizen ship but doesn't want to acknowledge his father. Just throwing that out there.

Chapter 6

Okay I promised 3 in a row and here it goes, I will take a break tomorrow and see what happens. I hope the formatting is right, I don't know why it double spaces but I went through and fixed it which helped the editing process. I always want your opinions if you have them, of course.
