Severance Chapter 6 Pt II - Short Chapter

This chapter is a shortie. I was going to combine this with my Mercy autopsy post-- but that is so long that it will be it's own post.

It's Been So Long

I didn't really comment on my absence. I wish I could say I was productive but I've mostly been touching a little of everything.  I did finish outlining Severance. Right now it's standing at 14 or 15 Chapters.

My process has been to  have one big document in chronological order and then I create other documents with random scene or points I'd like to include later. Then I sort of...merge them.

Mini T-Doll Reflections

Like I said . I've been revisiting serials. Litany Lane is the most troublesome--OH BOY does it need a lot of revision. I was so afraid of the fantasy elements.

I used to really like the Fierro chapters of Desert Sand Iris (Which I should have called Requiem. DUH)  I now realize I attempted a lot of philosophical themes but I never commit to them. Plus there is a lot of word salad.

That said, there is a gold line every now and then. This is one from DSI.

Context : Fierro has faked his death and has been living  with Emile. Unfortunately Lucie (His Ghost!Wife) has been haunting him and torturing the neighbors. Fierro decides to leave and travel the world on a cargo ship ( I spent so much time researching this) . Before he is set to leave, he goes into a used bookstore.

The bookstore was a large two story building and when one entered a bell went off. I was greeted with a sign that said :

For whom the bell tolls
it tolls for thee

I remember finding it clever but heavily understated

Random Fun Facts

I originally wanted Sera's lawyer be the lawyer from United Light (was it Raleigh ?). I think I did that because they were both in cults.

Also I originally named the town Union. I wanted a name that was striking like Defiance, Ohio. Not long after I picked Severance the TV show came out, lol.

Recap

Paris and Cami uncover a Mia Felton's secret phone filled with blackmail videos. The phone reveals that Sera and Mia started seeing each other while Sera and Paula were breaking up.  They also find out that  Mia recorded the aftermath of Larry's  hit and run. Turns out  Mickie and Paige ---The Copycat Severance Stalker's first victims----ran over Larry.

Paris is trying to focus on the case, but he will eventually need to decide what his next career move is. The party wants him to conquer the Midwest, but Paris isn't ready to leave New York plus he  could see himself making a life with Cami in Manhattan.
