I was working on the Emile story-- that I'm tentatively titling Sincerely, Emile even though there is a lackluster Broadway play out called Sincerely, Oscar-- and as I'm working on dialogue I have Emile call Rose "darling". I didn't even think about it and it seemed to fit the character...and then I was re-reading and tinkering with Litany Lane (somebody stop me ! I just never got this idea right!!) and the first thing Emile says to Clara is : “Have a nice fall, Darling ?"

Sunshine Love
I'm loving Sunshine it is giving me all the inspiration for my New Aeterna Young Adult story...which I can't do until I finish NA3 so I have to finish NA3. I think I like Sunshine because I love complicated family relationships and SHV has such a way with interesting female protagonist.
Goodwill of Sofia Madigan Chapter 7 and 8
Tomas continues to work at the shop while looking for another job. One of his first clients is Judson's ex-girlfriend Veronica Tolson who becomes Toma's first official client. However instead of paying Tomas she feeds into his newfound and already dangerous addiction to prescription painkillers. For Tomas it's about dealing with is Chronic pain but the high becomes a release from Tomas ans Sofia's impending money problems.
Tomas also has a chance to learn more about Veronica and Judson's three-year old special needs daughter, who is shuffled between her parents. Sofia sees a bit of herself in Charity tries to help and take care of her the way the same way her nurses did for her when she was vulnerable.
When Tomas confronts Veronica about paying him he learns the pills she gave him are laced with heroin, his former drug of choice. He struggles to quietly withdraw and with no money coming in and Sofia and Elijah depending on him, he does one desperate act to support his family...and his addiction.
Veronica has a pin-up girl aesthetic and I think this is a good picspiration for her, even though she isn't quiet as polished.
