Angel BWG reboot : A TALE OF TWO STORIES ?
A few days after I posted Vegas, I started writing what could have been the next installment. I started with Tomas and Sofia and something clicked for me that caused me to dig a trench, aka angst hole.
Maybe it's to soon to talk about it, but yes a whole new Tomfia story is coming and I've got 8k guys. I'm sort of confused on how to do it because I want to tell the story of Sofia confronting her abuser and I want to explore Petal Brook some more but I also want to alternate and show what happened to Tofmia in NYC in the months leading up to going to Petal Brook.
I will need to come up with a new title, my code name for it is Goodwill and it's kind of growing on me ? But not really. I'm at 8K. . . so. . . yeah.
I'm triple teaming it with the second part of PLT (Codename "Spooky") and trying to finish up QC and this is all VERY VERY different and IDK I need to stick to one thing. . .
Queen and Country Re-cap
It's 2027.
Four years ago Leon Argos was apart of the resistance that helped topple down the Angel, Helios Thantos' occupation of The Island of Manhattan. Or as Helios dubbed it New Aeterna.
We did save the day. We were the good guys. Now I’m not sure what we are.
During the years of political maneuvering and diplomacy talks that follow. Leon moves on by joining the New Aeterna Defense Force along with Seraphina and Ares.
The NADF and U.S Army constitute one force. Recruits will be considered members of both the U.S Army and NADF while New Aeterna is pending Nationship.
While enlisted Seraphina begins to rethink her marriage to Paris. The man who is poised to lead this new nation made of humans and supernatural creatures.
This is where I want to be, making my own future.
Not suffocating in makeup and hair extensions, shaking hands, playing your pretty prop and talking politics I don’t understand. We both want New Aeterna to be a country, but I can’t do it the way you want. I’m not a trophy wife. I can't and don't want to keep up. I need to be free. I cannot be in another prison and I don’t want you to be my warden. Here—for now--I can be just Sera. Doing what I do best. Fighting to live another day.
The separation weights heavily on Paris (more than Sera knows) and after some reflection and help from Leon, Sera decides to stay with Paris.
I believe New Aeterna can be an example for the rest of the world. A beacon of peace and hope. I believe you can turn a name associated with fear and into one filled with peace. I believe in you, Paris. I believe you can make a paradise for the next generation of our kind. Because of that I will remain your by your side and do what I must to give you New Aeterna.
Shortly after Paris becomes the official King of New Aeterna and Sera and Leo are redeployed. all is well.. . until Paris is assassinated six months into the job, but he survives.
Eli : By the way The Prince ? He’s doing fine. Corp Grigori reported back to Iraq where she is currently finishing up a second tour. In November New Aeterna will celebrate their fourth Liberation day, their first as King and Queen. New Aterena will be hosting The International New Aeterna Royal Court,
Of course what know one knows is that the person who pulled the trigger was Seraphina.
“I. . . don’t care, but if anything gets out the people will revolt. We’ll get thrown out. . . exiled. God. . . maybe a fucking civil war.”
“Isobe—“
“I don’t care what the situation was, Leon. The point is she did it. She pulled the fucking trigger and you right there with her.”
Of course it's revealed they were blackmailed by Bart Giuliani a U.S nationalist who wants to make New Aeterna NYC again. His "Unification Party" is the main opposition to Paris Prince. They want to unify NYC to the U.S
And there is a mysterious DOJ Agent, Solstice LeCorix who is asking questions and might just dig up the questionable things Paris and company did to ensure New Aeternea (like secretly manufacturing assault rifles, looking the other way when drugs come into the NYC ports and prostituting his wife to senators.)
[Paris] I thought the terrible things I did to get this country were for the great good . . . but they are not. It doesn't stop, Sera. It doesn't stop. You think it will balance out, that the bad is only temporary. That once things are better you can cut out all the bad. But you can't. It grows. . . Infects
All of this comes to a head when Paris tries to commit suicide, showing the cracks in his solid facade. Angry and scared Sera decides to stay with Leon for a bit.
“You’re going to my apartment, Sera. Now. Go.”
“I. . . I have to get to work tomorrow, Leon.” Sera reminds me.
“I’ll get your shit. It’s fine. Go. Now.”
She doesn’t talk back, she just slowly backs away and out the door.
“Call the car and take her to my place”, I order the guardsmen.
I looked back at Paris where he was taking a few more hits of oxygen and visibly trembling.
“You . . . okay?”
"What the fuck do you think?”
Of course Leon's life is crowded as it is, as he has fathered 3 children with Aria. Helios, former wife. Leon's never been great with women and he can't quite decide if what he feels for Aria is love or lust.
While Leon and Seraphina sort out thier problems Solstice reveals herself to be more than a DOJ agents, she is actually a member of the Unification Party and was mentored by Bart Giulani, who was killed by Sera after he blackmailed her into shooting Paris. Solstice came to New Aeterna for answers
“The point is”, I continued, “ Giuliani died the same day Paris Prince was assassinated. The NADF took custody of his body and it was cremated. Why would they do that ? Also, the location of the attack he encountered was near Al Khasik. That’s near the base the NADF was stationed at.”
“You think the NADF killed Giulinani ?”
“I think something happened to my mentor, he had a vision for bringing order back into the world and it died with him and no one cares. The new Unification party. . . just isn’t the same.”
She might just get them since the new head of The Unification Party is Anne B. Lynne. The former Angel mother who has always had it out for Sera and didn't appreciate being knocked out of power when Helio's Thantos came to power. Now she is ready to put her cards down. She hires a freedom fighter who went after Helios to join her side and they make an explosive display at the New Aeterna Liberation Day Parade.
With people in fear it's a good thing Paris and Sera are on the same side, even if their relationship is on the rocks.
[Sera] “I did what I had to for New Aeterna and for the resistance . . . and your legacy. I can’t tell you why. I can’t burden you with that information considering your. . . mental state. I didn’t want to do it. It nearly broke me. You have to trust me when I say this is for me to handle. You just be king. You just stop trying to kill yourself. Your life is no longer in danger.”
Silence.
[Paris] “I wish it were that simple Sera, I feel as if New Aeterna, you and all the other have such a bright future. I don’t see that for me . . .I just want to move on to what’s next.
After the explosive attack at the parade a raid is done and some of Ravi and Anne followers are rounded up. Solstice LeCroix just barley escapes and she's headed towards Ravi's apartment. Right towards where the military has raided and imprisoned Ravi's followers. Despite the years of torture she's endured Sera uses her position to waterboard a group of young girls
“What are these from, sweetheart”, she looked at her wrist then back at me, it was no good for me touch her but I had a point to make.
“That’s what happens when you spend five years wearing cuffs. You’re better than this Sera. And if I remember correctly you never gave anything up, not matter what they did to you.”
“Those girls aren’t me”
“Exactly. You’re better than this”
I let go of her wrist and she rolls her sleeve down
“No… I’m not.”
Which makes Leon wonder if he knows her at all.

Waiting in Leon Argos apartment.
My tiny 300 square foot loft was filled with tall broad figures dressed in all black wearing full face balaclavas. They all had guns pointed at me I looked around at the macabre sight.
“Let me guess”, I said, “Take me to your leader.”
“Actually”, said a smooth cultured voice, “You took the words right out of my mouth.”
Anne Lynne hopped down from where she was perched in a peach skirt suit on my counter, her jewelry sparkles in the florescent lights. Her minions parted as she took the four steps over to me.
“I’m so ready to make my formally introduction to the King.”
