she manipulates and confuses The Hero with her undeniable aura of sexiness and danger. He knows that she's walking trouble and knows much more about the bad guys than he might or she should, but damn it if he can't resist her feminine wiles.

+2+ Disappear - Mikky Ekko
+3+ Devil's Backbone - The Civil Wars

This chapter was amazing I like starting with a quick fight and ending with some romance, but I'm a little scared this is coming to an end...
ReplyDeleteAlso, I see what you did there...(;
*wink* *wink*
DeleteI love that you “diagnosed” Sera as a “femme fatale.” I never thought of her like that, she was just like the other SGI soldier except you know “the girl one”
ReplyDeleteLol, I loved the term "diagnosed"
DeleteI know the action scene wasn’t in the chapter, but I could feel all the tension and drama !
ReplyDeleteRight ? I am so worried about the Demons they took as prisoner...I imagine that won’t end well.
Delete. . . it won't
DeleteAwwwww….they she said I love you ! Is that why this was posted on Valentine’s Day ?
ReplyDeleteYeah . . . sure. . . I had it planned out the whole time. . .
DeleteMy favorite section was when Sera was explaining about how she had to kill all those men who she was married with. Do you think she was immune to violence or if having to kill those men messed with her any ?
ReplyDeleteIt messed with her. It's why she can be so distant and one of the reasons she was so mean to Paris early on.
DeleteI loved the Paraphina action in this chapter ! I’m so glad someone else knows about them and it wasn’t like A Big Deal kind of thing.
ReplyDeleteI can see this. Ashe had inklings the whole time. He is very perceptive.
DeleteOkay, this chapter was great but is Isobel ever going to show back up ? I keep waiting for it to happen at the end of a chapter or something.
ReplyDeleteOn a similar note what about Isiah ?
Delete@bookworm - yeah about her
Delete@QueenAnneAlumni - yeah about him
His features soft and pragmatic. His frame thin and unassuming but capable of seduction and pleasure.
ReplyDeleteThese kind of feel like backhanded compliments. I mean...thin and unassuming ?
DeleteI mean there is a 'but' there. Oh, wait is she talking about his frame frame
To be clear: peen
DeleteI have no idea how to answer this. I can kind of side with Marianna on this one.
DeleteWe are always talking about Sera’s height, but was it ever established how tall Paris was ?
ReplyDeleteYes. Paris is 5'6 and Sera is 6'5
DeleteHey, Lile are you somehow implying that there could be living Angels out West somewhere ? Maybe they can have a tussle with some fairies?
ReplyDeleteOr something. Because that bit sounded sequel bait.
DeleteLol, this is something to chew on. Although honestly the Angels probably aren't alive any more.
Delete“He had a wild dark side, a bit crass, a competitive drinker, gambler and he was always so . . . delightfully rough”
ReplyDeleteI get the feeling Serpahina isn’t into super vanilla sexy times.
. . . yeah, she isn't.
Delete“Then finally there was the Prince.”
ReplyDelete“The prince ?”, I said bringing my hand to her perfect lips. Her teeth grasp the tip of my gloves and I pull my hand away, letting the glove slip off.
Is it supposed to be a play on words that his title goes from uppercase to lowercase here ?
I just now realize that up until recently he was technically Prince Paris Prince.
DeleteMore like Prince. Paris Prince.
Delete@Ashlyn - WIN !
Delete@violeta - a little bit.
DeleteThat second song just gave me chills. Is that from something ?
ReplyDeleteOur good ol' friend SYTYCD
DeleteThe new layout is gorgrous ! I love the watercolors. Is the playlist right ? I just noticed the chapter starts at 2
ReplyDeleteIt should be. I'll check on it. I like the layout but the embedded comments look off.
DeleteAll I want to know is if there is a choir version of that first song and if so what does that sound like.
ReplyDeleteIt sounds a little to "movie trailer" for my taste. Jo Blackenberg has been featured on a lot of commercials.
DeleteGirl, Ariel you need to get with the program...she has one job, drive Sera, and can’t do it.
ReplyDeleteI mean I love her innocence and perspective and all, but she’s the most useless narrator since Nick Carraway.
Delete@ Trish - In Ariel's defense she is drunk and it's dark and raining. She is sort of the victim becuase Sera has been ignoring and only talks to her when she needs something.
Delete@ Rei - Ariel's POV is in here so we can get both sides of the story. Yes I know what you are all thinking. Why no Sera POV. This will be asked and answered.
My ears perked up so hard when Ashe said “gay supernaturals”. That should so be a genre...that could be an Ashe novella type thing.
ReplyDeleteI can see this.
DeleteSo, should we be reading into the fact that right as Pariphina have unprotected sex, Leon barges in saying a baby is being born.
ReplyDeleteParis and Seraphina can't have children. Angels and Demons can't procreate. I promise I won't go back on this.
DeleteI feel like Seraphina needs her own POV. Do you think we will ever see one for her ?
ReplyDeleteThis will be answered.
