In The Trenches
We are wrapping up T-DOLL here. Its so funny when I finished this I had this giant sweeping gesture of "this is the end" of Linda Leigh . However I'm so far from that. I'm actually pretty optimisitc that another idea (maybe in 6 months. . . maybe ?) will come to me. I just don't know what it is ?
So I was going to 86 T-DOLL JNRR but there is a scene involving a peppermint that I never got to write because I couldn't figure out how. I explain in chapter 11.

I need to find some inspiration. . .
T-DOLL JNRR 11
T-DOLL JNRR 12

Lol, Lile I so have that GIF….also I apologize for any distractions I may or may not start posting.
ReplyDeleteDon't mess with me. . . although you are my inspiration for dark and gritty.
Delete“Don’t marry a man like your father. handsome, intellegint, broken. You just can’t fix him.”
ReplyDelete2 out of 3 ain’t bad, Lils.
I like Lils
Delete*waves goodbye to TDOLLs !*
ReplyDeleteDo you think Mr. F told Rose to call him Papa or she just picked that up ?
hmm. . . I like to think maybe he explained to her he was her father, and she calls him that because that's what heroine's in fairytales call their Fathers.
DeleteRosalie’s middle name is Emmiline ? How did I not catch this before. Dawww!
ReplyDeleteI know, right ! I mention it briefly in DSI
Delete*innocent eyes*
ReplyDeleteOMG, I just realized they left 5 year old Clarence in the car by himself. That poor kid is going to be SO scarred for life. Don't anyone start about a Clarence story.
ReplyDeleteI mean Clara, I love your long hair don’t care-ness at times, but she’s a downright irresponsible parent.
Well, look at what she comes from, her father does this:
DeleteFather was breathing hard not quite apologizing but he was sorry.
“You’re fine”, Father said sitting back down at his desk, “It’s nothing. You’re fine. Clara ?"
"I'm fine", I said but I was really just repeating him, my hand clutched over my eye.
I know I know, Clara's trying though.
DeleteLol, that blunt object joke was some dark humor…but I thought it was hilarious.
ReplyDeleteI could get darker, lol.
DeleteAlso Joy never hears from the Fierro or Clara again and goes about living her life like nothing happened, living in fear.
ReplyDeleteOooh, there’s your sequel, Lile.
OMG, DAT MINT SCENE DO ! It sounds so super cute!!!
ReplyDelete
DeleteI know, Lile I think you just wrote a sentimental peppermint commercial.
OIC, you couldn't write the scene because it's have to be from Mr. Fierro's POV...have you ever done Emile's POV ?
DeleteI have no idea whose POV it would have been from . It would have had to be in third person. I just had no reason to put them all together in a cafe together. I've had this scene in my head for years !
DeleteWTF is wrong with me, but I’m kind of feeling bossy Fierro after he pulls her out of the grave.
ReplyDeleteWow, I just realized both Clara and Fierro have buried each other...
Delete@NYCBARISTA - Clara is kind of feeling it too.
Delete@Quinn - These two are so meant to be.
Lol, when Tomas showed up...but damn atleast Tomas tried and had some self awareness…
ReplyDeleteI know ! I couldn't help it. I had been diving into SA when doing this.
DeleteI don’t understand the Adele reference in the TDOLL of the last section...
ReplyDeleteThere is an Adele song in this section, and I had no idea who she was when I posted it. She wasn't famous yet.
Delete“ Mr. Fierro I never thought I would say this. . . but you are such a romantic. You’ll fall in love a million times over again.”
ReplyDeleteWhich BTW I think is very true. There is something about quiet, introspective, serious and polite characters that you can give them any love interest. ANY.
In that case Emilerro all day. I mean Emile is legit the only person who can stand Fierro
I can see this, I can see this so hard.
DeleteThis doesn’t get a flirty flirty ? It's kind of sexy.
ReplyDeleteWith one hand he placed the ring in the palm of my hand, my fingers closed around its smooth surface. His other hand began tracing my scars, his mouth following the same path. I pressed my lips to his. It wasn't an answer just an odd instinct.
Because I still love/hate the ending and skim through when reading it. I think this is the only time they kiss in this installment.

ReplyDeleteSo sad to see TDOLL go, it was a great time to re-read through the entire Lile OG cannon andd see all the characters we love. It was awesome to see how in S&A you were stiking out huge sections of useless scenes to JNRR where you are like debating cannon and research with yourself.
It's a journey, but I'm just amazed at how much i didn't need in JNRR. I was getting to complicated. I think because I was pantsing S&A that I was throwing anything up, hence all the strikethroughs.
DeleteSo, no TDOLL Nightmare ? Asking for a friend.
ReplyDeleteNo, it's so short and I have very little to say about it. Nightmare was never a complete idea. I had a cool concept, characters, setting, beginning and ending. I could just never quiet figure out the middle of the story and what I posted was my very best attempt. Even now I struggle to figure out how I could have connected all these elements together.
DeleteFYI, it's pronounced Lie-Eels, Lils.
ReplyDeleteI still like it.
DeleteDo you remember which Adele song it was?
ReplyDeleteTurning Tables. . . I think
DeleteNo way Lile, Nightmare was perfection for me. The characters were so spot on !
ReplyDeleteI love the characters, I love everything except some of the plotting.
