The rest of chapter 2 was supposed to be
Mrs. Fenton takes Sofia to her trailer where she lives with her kids. She tries to convince Sofia that her husband didn't know what he was doing and that he was fine a few years ago but has become mentally ill and how losing him and going to court could leave them in poverty.
The rest plays out like this
Sofia struggles with her feeling for Mrs. Fenton's situation all while preparing for court. When the court day finally comes it is revealed that the other women testifying too do not exsisit. The paralegal made them up so Sofia would feel more confident.
Sofia freezes on the stand and the judge lets her come back the next day. Feeling bad Severine takes her out. Tomas gets ill over the weekend and Sofia has to go to court on Monday. When she goes she is able to testify and Severine Fores Tomas out the hospital and brings him to the courthouse so he can support her.
Mini NAF Update
. I have been making so much progess with NAF. I can see where it is going and I will post the next chapter as soon as I'm done. It's been so different than other serials in which it feels so solitary. I can only ever see these characters following this plotline.
Mini Bellum Update
So, SV is going to get co-cred on this because I literally take a lot inspy from United Light, Blessed Hearts and Veritas . Obviously this was very inspired by BH so much so that there is a (obvious) homage scene.
Next Up : Maybe I'll do a gif post or TDOLL. Or find something to blog about.
This was like a throwback, I loved it, hon ! I actually have two chapters of OHG I never posted…maybe I’ll dig those back up when I get behind.
ReplyDeleteNow....is the obvious homage in Bellum or was it in Lux and I missed it ? Also, where is Bellum because the more you talk about it the closer I am to having Erik break into your house.

DeleteThe homage is in Bellum. It's going to be very obvious. Even if Erik did break in he'd have to decipher the naming covnention to put the chapters together.
DeleteBecause "BLAH BLAH 4" goes right after "And then that happens" and the chapter titled MOTIVE??? goes last. Don't forget Shroom chapter.
It’s so cool to get a glimpse into your writing process. I see how you go out of order sometimes now. Like you have all of chapter 3 done while Chapter 2 is still in the wind.

DeleteHmm, good question. I guess I was never sure what Sofia and Danielle would talk about. I mean this woman has to seem sympathetic and I wasn't sure how to do that.

DeleteDayum that last scene tho...actually I kind of think it’s funny (and not funny haha) that the last time they did it was after watching a scene in a movie. I can't imagine what move it would have been since lord knows they probably don't get HBO.

IDK, even though they are two angsty, damaged people I imagine their bedroom life would be kind of boring, they both seem pretty low key-ish.

DeleteMrs. four - So, I did have a reason. At some point in that chapter Severine was supposed to take her out for happy hour and she sees all these PDA couples. Is it working for her ? No.
I took this part our but afterward Tomas wants to go down on her and she gets nervous because of his HIV. He says she is being ignorant (There is only like a small risk) and they get in ANOTHER fight and I was like I'm done with these fight scenes.
So much of this was built on Tom and Sofia trying to figure out how to deal with him being gone. So they spend so much time trying to push each other away. So much fighting.
Um, so yeah. Did I answer the question ?

DeleteIt feel like in Tomas’ own mind he is doing the best that he can and he is a pretty stand up guy. But, I’,m not sure it holds water. I mean, okay, it’s great you gave up drugs and all, but that’s the bare minimum for being a decent human being.
ReplyDeleteI know. I mean I will say he is better than he was in S&A but he has a long way to go. He is very supportive of Sofia and gives up a lot to bring her back to Petal Brooke. He should just stop rubbing it in.

ReplyDeleteI was hoping no one would ask this. . . I have no idea. I never thought that far. I want him to be guilty of course, but what would that mean for Sofia and Allen's family ? Sofia would never be able to go back to Petal Brooke.
