Chapter 11
Sometimes things happen in my head outside of cannon and I use them to infer things in the story. I noticed this came up in a lot in a few comments, because it is never directly addressed. In my head Rosalie has reconciled that Mr. Fierro is her father and I never put it in the story, I just inferred it.
It was hinted at in chapter 9, originally when Rosalie is running her fingers over Mr. Fierro's name on the grave stone she asks him if Fierro is her last name, but I took it out because Rosalie's not an asking kind of girl. However when she calls him "Papa" in the story it's the first time she has said it.
Anywho, like I said in comments she wouldn't call him "Father" because that's what Clara calls her dad. "Daddy" is a little to intimate and Mr. Fierro is very aware of how much older he is than her and doesn't quite feel young enough to be her "Dad"
Good Intent
Here is the music video for Good Intent. I like the sort of underlying story of the music video and the dancing isn't bad either. I think it could potentially go along with this story.

Wow,Lile that was so beautiful what an ending ! You fooled us all with the ending ! I did not see it coming, that Clair did it.
ReplyDeleteYou are amazing and I mean it and here is why: I’ve been repeating the Breaking Dawn Soundtrack like crazy and Turning Page is the one song I could never use in a scene without thinking of a wedding. You used it perfectly, I loved it in that scene.
It fit better with your scene than with Bella and Edward's wedding.

Yeah it's a pretty romantic song. I think it's perfect for Edwards an Bella. For me it was like the story was coming to a close. I thought the lyrics kind of fit.

ReplyDeleteRose is Martin's blood-heir. Remember in chapter 9 when Mr. Fierro took the new will Martin was working in and burned it ? I guess it worked out for him in the end. If only Derek had showed up . . .

I go back and forth on if I like or dislike that part. Most of the time I like it.
DeleteI kind of feel like the romance of this novel went out with a whimper. Are Fierro and Clara really in love or is being together just convient? I mean Clara has only had the chance to be in love once, I feel bad for her.

ReplyDeleteNo you can't get off on murder, however women who kill their husbands get surprisingly short sentences if they cite abuse and self-defense in the US. Many usually serve 3 years, don't get me started if they have kids.

ReplyDeleteThat last chapter was made of magic! I have to admit, for a minute there I thought they weren’t going to get their happy ending. I thought Clara would leave and they’d do that whole “Until we meet again” thing.

ReplyDeleteNo, Clara actually can't have anymore children (complications during birth) which is a reason for a lot of the tension in DSI. It's mentioned but very subtly.

DeleteIn chapter ten it says they only used "a few drops" so the vial is still half empty (er half full). In my head it looks like a perfume sample vial. Why she is carrying it with her ? good question . . .

Such a flawless ending. I will miss the glamorous world, but I have been re-reading LA and FS and clammering for more of that. Can’t wait to see what happens next!

ReplyDeleteIt has been quite a journey. For me, one of my favorite parts was the final kiss is LL and how they were walking out of the cemetary.

DeleteI think the first 3 serials are similar with the whole Clierro center and with this one being so diffrent and a focus on the Delunes, it was different and I loved it !
