Chapter 15
It was nice hearing all your feedback on chapter 15, I know the music spanned all Generes which I didn't really notice. I almost forgot to post this link I found on a BBC website if you want to know what Lithuanian actually sounds like. It's an. . . interesting language !
Chapter 16
So we have chapter 16 it's longer than the last chapter, the pictures are a little off I was using LL format at first ! Shawna's rapid-postings have really been inspiring for me so I hope I can keep up.

Wow so many songs ! Wait, now the ending was a prolouge does that mean it's the end or a new beginning. Or did you mean epilouge ?
ReplyDeleteI really thought the drama was heating up but, than it kind of died down. I kind of get the feeling of perfect imperfection with Sofia and Tomas's relationship
ReplyDeleteOh, I almost forgot you took one of my songs-- Remedy by Jason Mraz but, that's okay! I didn't have a place for it I just liked it so much. Grrr. Jk
ReplyDeleteI really liked this chapter and if this is the ending than it was a little bittersweet for me as well. Sofia lost her foster mom and sister just to stay with a dying man . . . I suppose it is poetic.
ReplyDeleteIs their a reason Severine goes to China ?
Saints ? Interesting, I am going for the Colts we should create some kind of bet. Like when you lose you have to post a sonnet about me or something ?
ReplyDeleteSomething about this chapter seems very honest although, I wonder what the Eiffel Tower necklace represents ?
I am really happy Tomas and Sofia decided to stay together despite the circumstances. I wonder how that is supposed to work or do they just assume Elijah won't remember Tomas to begin with.
ReplyDeleteWhat is the tattoo on Sofia's forearm, that Tomas says makes him apart of her forever.
It seems to me if Tomas and Sofia remembered all their rules a few chapters ago this serial could have been shorter, lol !
ReplyDeleteThe Taylor Swift song was so perfect for the section it went with, even though I don't think Adam was too late.
ReplyDeleteI never understand why Sofia doesn't stay with Adam.
I think we can both agree Tomas is a Sofiasexual.
ReplyDeletePersonally, Adam seemed so perfect it kind of makes you hate him.
We just realized when we used our last names it still looks like 2 peoples first names.
ReplyDeleteJust wanted to add, I think you did a decent job being 'critical' of healthcare without being bias.
PS Don't get any ideas from us posting together.
I'm a little annoyed how NYC is always describes as dark and dreary but, NC is all sunny and bright like NYC is negative or something. We get sunshine in the city !
ReplyDeleteWell, I think that kind of changed in the last bit though.
I have never heard that Taylor Swift song before ! It actually didn't make me want to shoot myself in the head. You always find the best songs, Linda
ReplyDeleteLots of refereences to sneakers, does that mean anything ? Is Sofia tying Tomas's shoe forshadowing him being in a wheelchair ?
ReplyDelete“Fucking American liqueur.”
ReplyDeleteI am from Iowa but, I do a lot of traveling and ITA with Tomas on this comment.
Okay, thanks to that link I know a few phrases of Lithuanian ! Now, I am definatley plannng my Lithunaian husband hunting trip !
ReplyDeleteLinda, I can go on and on and ramble like a crazy person but, I do have one question. A lot of people call you an Atheist and though you had a lot of anti-christian sentiments so, I have to know how that has affected the end. I mean, are you trying to send a message or what ?
ReplyDeleteI'm just asking from a purely objectional standpoint
I have to say the baptism scene made me cry. It reminded me of the Happy Days when the Fonz gets baptised. I love this ending.
ReplyDeleteDid she walk into the lake or did they dip her head ? I was kind of confused.
I loved the baptism too ! I think the only thing that would have made it more full circle is if the last scene took place in a church instead of Central Park.
ReplyDeleteI think the bapstism is sort of like a bit of fan service; that yes, Tomas will die but they will be together in heaven or something.
Okay, I'm back just one more comment,I realized you used the acoustic Remedy so I guess you only half stole it. Okay enough comments from me.
ReplyDeleteI love that last song ! It was so romantic it made me wish I was married. Then I remembered I was and I turned it up and made my husband dance with me to it.
ReplyDeleteThe idea of Tomas in a wheelchair is really heartbreaking, it must really suck. I think through this Linda you have made Aids seems more accessible and real, it has made me want to make a difference.
ReplyDeleteYour the Rent of this generation
I have no idea about anything in NYC, does the fact that they are talking about the 32 train mean they don't live in Bronx.
ReplyDeleteSomething about the way Sofia was talking about Annie I knew she was going to be a nurse or whatever she is supposed to be (can you be a nurse in 1 year ?).
ReplyDeleteThe conversation at the very end, is it supposed to take place in a different time than the rest of that chapter.
ReplyDeleteI feel bad Tomas couldn't keep his tattoo shop, although I imagine he can sell his paintings which has to be some money.
ReplyDeleteWhy does Elijah look up dissapointed when Tomas says mom ? Is it because he misses Tomas's mom.
ReplyDeleteGoing off the last comment I hate the LL fakeout ! I thought Tomas died and I was all like why did she say "mom ?" , is she calling Rosae mom, now. And than I was all like did Sofia and Elijah die because Sofia's mom is dead ? What the hell kind of story is this.
ReplyDeleteAnd then you made it all better and fuzzy feeling and I loved you again.
*Except the Saints are getting their asses handed to them.*
Maraschino cherries and seltzer water ? Is that something they regularly serve at bars ? I am totally getting that (except maybe with a splash of schnapps)
ReplyDeleteart&tea; ink&vodka
ReplyDeleteThat is such a funny paradox, although ink can be art. Who would have thought it could work ?
Thinking your mother and law is a hooker--that has got to be embarrassed.
ReplyDeleteThat should say embarrassing *grammar fail*
ReplyDeleteI wonder what happened to that 8,000 Tomas's family gave him ? Im sure they could atleast get Elijah something that is new with it. I would be afraid of used cribs.
ReplyDeleteThis isn't a negative comment but, Sara Barielles voice sounds really deep in that song-- I didn't recongize her voice. I like that song, it's very romantic.
ReplyDeleteIt's so funny LL fans have had a little love affair with Paige since Lost Angels because we thought she was going to get her own series so, I loved seeing her in this !
ReplyDeleteI loved hearing from TomFia but, I kind of think it could have ended at the end of Spirits. That ending was my favorite, I loved it.
ReplyDeleteI think Sofia is a little mean to Rose, I mean yes she has good reason (the whole Tomas cutting drugs for her, made me really pissed) but she could have gone to the funeral.
ReplyDeleteI actually like Rev. Glass as a character too, I have no idea why. I love the scenes in Petal Brooke I hope in some distant future Sofia moves there.
ReplyDeleteI kind of thought Rose would be maternal but, did she really call her son a fucking idiot ? She is kind of a bitch
ReplyDeleteHi, Honey, I was bored and decided to read some of this.loljk. Now, honey I haven't really read the blog entries or anything but, I found it really interesting and it make me wonder about you and Joel, loljk. But, really honey it was sweet, I may have to get California to read it,loljk. And honey even if only .5% of this was true you may be able to top some of my stories when you start telling them to your daughters.loljk.
ReplyDeleteI kind of want Sofia to still be an angel but I think Tomas is right, he did clip her wings. Did you ever consider having Tomas die and Sofia go with Adam just to be ironic.
ReplyDeleteIf this is the end, Linda will we get an official word count ? I think if you include everything starting from Spirits (which is my favorite, I love it) you may just beat Shawna !
ReplyDeleteI just want to say, I am in love with the prologue, it is really great. I love it so much I have no idea why. It is pure genius, I mean it.
ReplyDeleteI was being nostaligic and looked at the ending of Spirits again. It seems like David and Adam could be the same person (rich, older, stable) and despite his mistakes Sofia goes back to Tomas. I wonder if that is a warning or lesson ?
ReplyDeleteI reread Spirits too, they have definatley grown as characters but, I can't help but to love the naive youthful lovey-doveyness of Lost Angels.
ReplyDeleteI guess I have to go and see DearJohn to get some of that.
All this talk about Spirits I realized they both end with a Jason Mraz song.
ReplyDeleteI can't believe what Sofia did to her son by taking lithium but, I guess it's better he is healthy than playing sports.
ReplyDeleteSo, how old is Sofia again ? I notice she keeps having birthdays but, I cant remember how old she is.
ReplyDeleteIs the painting that Tomas did of Sofia based on anything ? I wish I could see what Tomas's painintg style is based on
