The One With All The References

Except for one part of Chapter 6 and a chunk of chapter 10 I've pretty much finished with Lux. . .which means I looked at N:AF for the first time in  a long time. I'm so nervous that I've overhyped it but I'm excited about my playlist. It will certainly feel more like classic LiLe.

Fun With Names

I had a lot of fun coming up with names for this story. Main characters aside I wanted to the Angels and Demons names they would have chosen to adopt over the years.  So I tried to steer away from modern names and go towards ironicly biblical or literary ones. Names like Damien and Bane were leftovers from the MC name pool. Ariel (Uriel), Jonathan, Isaiah and Levit(han) are biblical/angelic. Lysander and Paris are from Shakespeare.

It just occured to me that I gave both Paris and Clara (HOF) facial scars. However Paris' Glasglow smile was added at the very end after the entire thing was written. I did this because I realized that there had to be a reason that when Isobel saw Paris (in the pictures) that she knew he was the one who saved her father.

Going Foward

So my plan is to post this whole thing in about the time it took me to write it. Honeslty. . . I haven't looked at Nightmare in so long and I need to get back to it while I'm distracting you.  

My original plan was supposed to be pantsing NAF.  So, I'm probably going to go ahead and start posting it as soon as I can.

. . . but I  also want to do some more TDOLL. Hearing everyone talk about LL in the comments made me all nostalgic.

Paris Prince (28)

He has dark hair and dark eyes. I imagine him having the "always nervous" facial expressions of Cillian Murphy and the face of what I like to call Ben Barnes 2.0 Ben Barnes 1.0 looks like this. The more I look and I think about it  Cillain Murphy in this picture is more of how I imagine him.


Seraphina Grigori and Isobel Charter (28, 23)

Seraphina is supposed to look very beautiful, innocent and sweet but is actually vicious. Miranda Kerr has that girl next door look. I knew I wanted her to look like a model so of course I looked up VS Angels.  I can't believe we are the same age. I mean she's so much older than me.

As for Isobel it was a little hard finding an inspy for her,  but I like the intense yet fiesty  look singer Ha Tram has in this photo. They have amazing hair.





Ashe Burn and Jonathan Prince (28, 24)
I really just had a picspiration for Ashe which is Alex Skarsgard (you know without um, eyes) ,  but I'm stealing one of SH's picspirations for Jonathan.(is that Colton  you had ?).

So, she doesn't play that big of a part in the story but I imagine her as fashion blogger Kayture.

So I realized when I talked about N:AF (Yes, we are on that again) I used the words Darkier and Edgier. . . and I'll admit compared to Lux, N:AF looks like the Care Bear movie.  

I did realize early on that parts of this story may come off as dark and  straight up misogynistic. . .but I promise there is a method to my madness.

Okay, guys let's slowly crawl out of the dark tunnel. . .

Keep The Train Movin'

I am floored by everyone's reactions and yes some of you theorist are more on the nose about tiny things !

Chapter 2 is a shortie chapter and more of a continuation of chapter 1. Chapters 1-4 were orginally all together so the break up is hard to pace.

What The Hell Hero ? *gold stars*

Yes, the characters in this story are older. They only age about once every 55-65 years and since they've been wandering for 1028 years they have only aged 16-19 years. With the main character being 8-10 at the time they began their journey he now looks around 27-28 -ish.

The narrator in this story is a bit. . . biased in his version of things. He is also some what detached from his own reality, so  some of this might start to feel like it's in third person.

How I felt after the interview in my last post

Only being able to write the first and last chapters of   Nightmare : (An) American Fairytale.

Thinking Lux would be a one chapter shortie

Cause it turned into a multi-chapter story

Today I'm doing an interview post. Now I know what you are thinking. How can I do an interview when no one has asked any questions ? Especially when I've been super MIA. Well today I'll be interviewing my Muse who showed up T-DOLL

LiLe : Hey, Muse. So I had a great time working with you on T-DOLL.

Muse : Yeah . . . Hey so since we did the rest of  LL T-DOLL  are we ever going to post it. I've got some prime material in there.

LiLe : Um, we'll get to that later. So let's talk Nightmare : An American Fairytale.

Muse : Okay

LiLe : So this is a bit of a different look for us. It's like a mix of S&A and LL with a much younger male main character.

Muse : Yep.

LiLe : So how is it looking ? Cause I know I've hit kind of a wall and  . . .  hey what are you doing ?

Muse : Oh, just working on this thing

LiLe : Thing ? What thing ?

Muse : Well you remember that Halloween novella we were supposed to do for Tomfia ?

LiLe : Yeah

Muse : Well I had this idea  what if---

LiLe : NO.  We are here to talk about N:AF. CONCENTRATE. We are in the home stretch.

Muse : Just imagine this--

LiLe : No,

Muse : Come on, just give it a try. For fun . . .

LiLe : Fine. I'll try it for fun. Then we get back to N:AF Cause my playlist for it is amazing.

Muse : Deal

*tries*

LiLe : Um, Muse what the F is this New Thing ?

Muse : Right ? Right ? Good stuff !

LiLe : Are you crazy?! you plagiarized half of this from Shawna.

Muse : I did not

Explanation

So, this non-productive interview was my way of introducing you to my new serial that is for some reason not American Fairytale.

The idea just came to me and I guess you could say this is LiLe's verison of a NaNo project cause I wrote basically the entire thing (2-4 chapters left to go)  in one month *WHAT*. I swear my kids haven't seen me in days.

So, since we are switching gears and posting this new thing I thought I'd give you all some time to theorize.

The project is called

Don't read to much into the name. I actual couldn't think of a name so I just looked around in songs till I found one.

The story deals with older characters (well not that much older than in JNRR). None of my usual shiftiness is going (very few Chekov's or foreshadowing) so I'm curious to see how this experiment goes.

I will be posting it very very very soon, like maybe the next post.  There is so much cleaning up to do which shouldn't take to long.

T-DOLL

I did finish T-DOLL and just so you don't leave empty handed I have posted a few chapter of T DOLL : HOF. The chapters in HOF were really short. Around JNRR I ran out of things to say so I'm not sure I will post that. Although I do sum things up pretty well.

I should have been posting TDOLL but I didn't want to get caught up in that "world", cause I usually re-read t just before posting and LL and Aternea have similar voices.

A Note On August

So I'm not T-DOLLing August. I really wrote August ( blog post ) becuase I had so many thoughts about the characters but didn't think it was enough for a sequel.  For me it was like knowing how the entire series would be and the trying to condense that into the short stories.

A part of me wishes I had kept to the short story route with this.

A Note On Scraps
 I deleted my alternate ending to LL off the website, so I went in search for it. Instead I found  two short stories that were supposed to be in August but got abandoned in turn for a sequel. As I looked over them I realized how they later become HOF and DSI, maybe even JNRR. These aren't edited for content, so let's just see what could have been

Was supposed to be the last short story in August and end with an engagement. when I looked over it I realized that there is a line in it that made it's way to HOF. I have no memory of originally putting it there but I'm sure it's obvious what it is.

This one didn't have a title, I think after I wrote this  I was like "Sequel is totally happening".


A Note On Wall Hitting
So I have hit a wall with American Fairytale. It's just missing some plot points but I am leaning more towards posting the first chapter and taking it there for there. I'll keep in the trenches and we will see what happens.
