I've been holding on to this chapter for so long. When Zendaya's Replay was on the top 40 I heard it and was like this is perfect. The last part of this chapter with Sera and Paris was written early on, because I needed to practice writing scenes with them alone together. Also Sera's outfit is based on something Miranda Kerr wore on Spanish Elle
Transfer
So I've been transferring all of my drafts back to a word based program. I'd been experimented on different platforms and now I'm back to Word. It's going to be strange because I do a lot of fragment writing and I'll change contexts or add in different plot points on a whim and not have to hit that official almighty "Save" button. I just hope I keep organized..
I've Got The Music In Me
I'm proud of myself because I'm starting to organize my music and taking notes of what songs will go with what portions. This is something I haven't done since LL. I'm a little scared of what little outlining I've done. Anywho, The music gods have answered my called I'm excited for future chapters.
Chapter 4
Sera is out to prove her loyalty to the Brotherhood, meanwhile Ariel is trying to hold it together after causing the death of Hippolyta and losing Sera as a friend.
I think I may have picked up some Sunday-spiration in this chapter. Just a little.

I totally picked up the Sundays vibe in this with Helios being all drill-sargeant-y. A similar scene is actually going to come up pretty soon in a chapter of Compulsion, except less detailed. Oh, the Lile-SH paradox line.

DeleteSo, are the male angels enduaranace any different from a human man ? Like, can they handle more ?
ReplyDeleteThey can handle a lot more than humans, but not what Helios dishes at them (for example in Lux Sera jumps of an eight story building and lands just fine.)

@sugarcookie - This is tricky because Leon isn't trying to be a deabeat, it's just he's really uncomfortable with the whole thing and doesn't know how to act. Which is exaclty what deadbeats do. He does care which is why he protects her during the attack.

Sera is the only girl in the main son. His mainsion is for SGI only, but in an earlier chapter it's mentioned in passing that Helios might be up to offering Ariel one.

ReplyDeleteThey told her to do it. . . so she did. Well Callum did anyway and he is very impuslive. This comes up later.
DeleteIt was stated in the prvious chapter that they needed to get rid of Helios' weapons, so he would be less powerful. In Section when Isobel and Paris are kidnapped they are thrown in a trunk with stockpiles of weapons, which is why they know where he keeps the weapons and decide on this course of action.
I am so pumped for the new music, it’s really been amazing so far between the JVM in this chapter and Replay (which is no my jam) in the last chapter fit perfectly.

ReplyDeleteSo far this is the only one. I think it may have to do with writing several small arcs instead of one big one. The entire Bellum section 1 is leading up to Sera/Paris getting together. These Arcs add up to 2 or 3 things.

I loved learning about the younger SGI, I can't imagine their lives would be very easy since they can't really fit in anywhere.
