T-DOSHING
When I'm out looking for song-inspiration I generally just re-read and steal from SH (hince how that Jeremy Kay song ended up in Lux). Somehow I was on T-DOSH and found a line about the creation of the name Flagg Morton that had me spitting my wine out laughing.
I’m pretty sure I got the name Flagg from Kim Possible and Morton because I was writing about steak earlier.
Yeah, I went back that far.
Closer Look Picspirations - The Boys
I threw up alot of character inspirations at once, but want to get a closer look at picsiprations.
Paris' is still a young Cillian Murphy. . . he has the hair, giant innocent eyes and the general nice guy look to him.
Ashe, Jona and Lysander are all based on three guys who look pretty much the same
Lysander is based on The Original's Joseph Morgan. Ashe is sort of sexy and sarcastically serious like Skarsgard's character Eric in True Blood. Colton Hayens was my inspy for Jona plus he seems to have shaved his head so he looks more like him.

Damien is like before based on old school Christian Bale. Callum wasn't supposed to have a part beyond his mention in chapter 1, but after I saw this photo of Jake Maclaughlin I decided to give him a storyline.

About Chapter 5
Not much to say here. This chapter does raise the stakes and suddenly things are becoming life and death. We actually get to see how dangerous Helios can be. I now see my writing out of order is backfiring becuase I wrote about Callum and his followers shaving their heads before I wrote the first part of this chapter and thus wrote myself into a tiny plothole

lol, I have no recollection of saying that about Morton Flagg, it was such a throwaway name I needed for Julianna and Cortland to met. P.S. I do throwback re-reads too...I’m talking Lost Angels so I can read Tomas putting Sofia on his back.

Then again, I started writing about a musician in New England with a weird family dynamic who has a relationship with someone who should be dead so...full circle.

Yes, yes, Yes, Cillian in Inception is just like Paris ! Theyre both young people thrown into their family business...but I think in Inception he killed his Dad or something as a plot twist.

They cook. In chapter 5 Callum is wearing "whites" because he is in charge of the kitchen. Callum got a big step up in backstory after my first draft.

DeleteTo make an SH reference Faust is like Griffin. He just has a name and description even though he doesn't really play a part. He appears in section two for one line and I just wrote him in part 1 to give him more screen-time.

In chapter 1 Leon is the SGI who gives Parisoble the invitation.
DeleteThe figure is a tall broad muscular man with dyed white hair cut into a short military crop. He is wearing a fitted gray shirt and cargos. An SGI brand on his large bicep, followed by an intricate tattoo of the alpha. Leonidas is written on the corner of his shirt.
Leon is short for Leonidas. Also in chapter 2 Sera says
"What's this ?", I say touching the beta tattoo. Her skin is is cold as ice and I draw my hand back.
"Helios has four guards. Two Alphas Leon and Ares. Two Betas. . . myself and Titus."
Oh, nevermind Leon is Leonidas.

DeleteThis is odd formatting wise because he's remembering what Seraphina said earlier, hence the italics. There is an emphasis on the fina I. What should happen is the "I" should not be italicized since it's supposed to be emphasised in font that's already italicized
