- First, it belongs to The Demon Father who gives it to Seraphina during their time together
- Then, after Seraphina shoots Caden, Paris takes it from her.
- Then when they are at the club, Paris gives it to Isobel to protect herself.
- Later Seraphina takes it back when Pariosbel can't re-load it
- Then when Isaiah kidnaps Seraphina he decides to take it..
- In the next chapter Isaiah shoots Isobel with that gun, causing her to become a daemon.
- In the next chapter he tries to shoot Isobel again, but Seraphina takes the bullets for her. Isaiah plans to shoot himself afterwards but he has run out of bullets.
- Finally just before Paris rescues Seraphina this happens
I take the gun and drop it on the Angel's chest.
“I believe that is yours”, I say
Because it's finally made it's way back to her. Inside joke. Nothing super important happens regarding this, just fyi.
The Angel & Demon
I did spoil the fact that there would be a small part of this serial that explored the idea of Homeland. Once I started trolling Fantasy Art , it was all over. So much inspiration.
The Angel
The Angel looks just like this first picture After I saw this image I based the entire character on the first photo. This Alexander McQueen dress fits the sort of puppet-esque qaulity of the Angel's dress and the nail extensions in the last picture are how I imagine her hands.

The Demon
For every etheral Fantasy photoshoot there is of a witch, druid or fae there is even less of one for men. I'm sure it's some gender imbalance on one side but I couldn't find a photograph as striking as I could for the angel. However I found a few artist renderings.
I don't love any of these, but they give a general idea.

Helio want the Demons out of the city and as things continue to ramp up between Paris and Helios. push has literally come to shove. Helios is going to have to find new ways to make Paris bow to his will.

Um, not really. In Paris' plot dump in Lux he mentions they used to make guns and then stopped. I imagine this is one of the last ones ever made and The Demon Father gave it so Sera because he loved her like a daughter.

So I wrote the Lucian Ammunition & Sport into the Lux plot dump, because I always knew I would write about the Angels returning and in my mind Father was suspicious, but when nothing happened he figured he was mistaken. Which leads to something in section two . . .

I wonder if the lack of male drawings has to do with how women are traditionally drawn as sort of fantastical creatures of male fantasies while also kind of sexualized...maybe ?

Delete@ Carleigh - This is something that kind of sort of gets explored in section two. We learn alot more about Father and Seraphina's relationship.
Delete@ Illia - Let me think. . .Right, this is interesting becuase Anne doesn't have a second in command. I think if she died the Demons would have taken responsibility of the Angels. But if some Female Demons showed up they probably would kick the Angels to the curb or maybe kill them. Maybe ? They are a little helpless.

I agree on both side, the issue is (as Paris states) no one really takes him seriously. He isn't a natural born leader and the only reason they partially recognize him is so they don't have to deal with Helios or when things. . . you know. . . go wrong.

Will we see implications of Isobel being the only girl among the Demons ? I mean maybe the Demons respect her being Paris’ but I wonder if any of the daemons are the same way? I just imagine she'd feel a little unsafe.
ReplyDeleteThis is something in Isobel's mind, but Paris, Jona (and even Callum) are also looking out for her. The daemons don't think much of her. . . they have their own drama going on.
