  1. I am so glad I am the first comment, that was the best chapter ever ! You have seriously humbled me as a writer. It was so wonderful I loved what you did with the music.

I'm not sure if it's over or not but either way . . . Bravo ! Bravo !

  2. I have to say I am humbled as well, Ms.Leigh. Another amazing chapter.

  3. Hearing Addy's story, OMG I was literally just about in tears. It is the most tragic thing I have ever heard.

  4. ^^
Just about in tears ?! I was actually sobbing a little bit during "Addy's Story" and for me it was just the little things like him not being accepted and having to go go the library after hours.

  5. I read this with some ramen and sody pop and I'm glad I did because it was pretty long but, so awesome. I loved hearing more about Fierro, suddenly everything he did clicked.

  6. These are my favorite chapters. I had some strong emotions from hearing about Lucie and Fierro it was so sweet well, bittersweet.

But, I did love that there are still coffee shops in Litany Village

  7. Awesome chapter !

No one will believe me but, I had a suspicion when Fierro said Clara's house was his that Fierro was her grandfather but, I thought that would be a little weird and totally dismissed it.

  8. This chapter was full of emotion. I am ebaying vintage coffee cans so I can put some roses in them. It's pretty !

  9. My favorite chapter and ditto what everyone else said !

For some reason I always thought Emile used a typewriter and not a laptop. It's kind of funny imagining it.

  10. I imagine you have known how this will end for a long time now. But, if Mr.F is from the 50's why does he wear clothes from the 1800's ?

Or are the clothes he wears from the 50's. I'm not to big on history of fashion.

  11. I wonder if Victor ever intended to keep his promise of sparing Emile, I don't think he would. That last dance between them was so sweet. I love love love Emile.

  12. This was such a lovely chapter. I liked how she had to be out by midnight like Cinderella and then her middle name was Cinderealla all of it was just perfect.

    ReplyDelete
  13. I hope it's not over just yet. My head is swimming with possibilities for what happens next. I'm afraid this won't be a happy ending.

    ReplyDelete
  14. Damn, and i thought the last cliffhanger was bad this one is even worse. You love torturing us don't you ?

    ReplyDelete
  15. What a brilliant writer you are ! I could almost hear the pain in Fierro's voice as he relayed the story to her and the music was perfect. I love Micheal Buble !

  16. The title of this blog is so decieveing ! Chapter 12 is so short it's not really a chapter, lol. Although I actually like Chapter 12 because it adds more mystery

  17. Speaking of sneaking suspiciouns I always had some odd idea Kayla and Emile were murdered because they were so young and Emile never talked about it. I imagined Ms.G died of old age because she was so much older.

    Poor Kayla !

  18. This totally got a bit macarbe for me with all the death and murder talk. Hearing Mr.F's death made me cringe but, what is the deal with Lucy and Roger I mean how could they live with that ?!

    ReplyDelete
  19. "Every time she left, a part of me went with her."

Now that is true love. So sweet but, I think Mr.F gave to much of himself to her

    ReplyDelete
  20. If Mr. F was so intelligent why didn't he get into any of those schools ? I think he may have aimed to high

    ReplyDelete
  21. I don't think you need anymore glowing comments so I 'll give you a hard time.

I noticed Mr.Fierro applied to Princeton but,not Harvard ? What is that about.

    ReplyDelete
  22. I can't believe people are having so much pre-maritial sex in the 50's but, it sure does make for a good story ! So, there is zero chance Mr.F is Clara's grandfather.

    ReplyDelete
  23. I think Mr. F's dumb move was telling Roger Lucie was pregnant but, I don't think Lucie really loved him, it's hard to tell.

I feel a bit of social commentary in this chapter or am I reaching ?

    ReplyDelete
  24. I think it's interesting that Roger saw Mr. Fierro as such a threat. The idea of his body just thrown aside, makes me sad.

    ReplyDelete
  25. I think Roger's drinking was a sign that he felt some guilt over Mr.F's murder but,it still seems such a horrid thing to do.

    ReplyDelete
  26. So, just so I get the family tree right, One of Clara's sister's is her half-sister ?

I'm confused on how Clara is the only legitimate one ?

    ReplyDelete
  27. So, Lucie was a bit of a pack rat like Ms. Ginger ? Is that why she needed two homes ?

    ReplyDelete
  28. Even though it is a little odd he married a woman 50 years older than himself there is something kind of sweet about it. I don't know.

    ReplyDelete
  29. I think Lucie is a terrible woman, IMO ! She is jealous, selfish, vengeful and loves things more than anything.

    ReplyDelete
  30. I know Clara's grandfather has been mentioned is he dead or divorced from Lucie ?

    ReplyDelete
  31. The fact that everyone on Litany Lane was murdered really struck me. Is that why they are all so close ? I can't imagine someone murdering Ms.Ginger.

    ReplyDelete
  32. I think there is a reason his eyes look towards the Oliver house when Mr.F thinks he is about to die. I think there is more so, I hope it is not over.

    ReplyDelete
  33. I wonder if the reason Clara isn't a specter is because someone tried to save her. Or something, I have no idea.

    ReplyDelete
  34. I wonder who it is that said Holy shit because, Clara recognizes the voice. I think it's Peter. If Clara is still alive maybe her experiences will change her life.

    ReplyDelete
  35. This makes me question a few things. I mean what proof do they have that people who are specters become ghost after they are burned up.

@ Tabbi - I knew you all were smart. (just so we are clear he is not her grandfather)

@ Lili - or yard sales

@ Gail - Yeah, he does use a typewriter

@ Rei - It's part of his "act" hince "I was not born like this"

    @ Lorrie - true

@ Marie - Yes, that and this was before the GI bill when colleges (like those) were mostly for the elite few.

@ Jason - um, to close to home ?

@ Elena - I won't get into details but He is NOT her grandfather. although originally there was a little joke were Clara asks if he is sure and he says unless she has any relative born in '54

@ sugarcookie - I can say that Lucie does love him. Hmm, social commentary, I'd have to hear it first.

@ Marigold - Well, Roger is an insecure drinker.

@ Appletini - His drinking was guilt and Lucie and Roger actually get divorced. (it's vaguely implied)

@ Kori - Oh, no all of Clara's sisters are hers. (here I go) Mr. Fierro was telling her that her parents were married out of wedlock.

    ReplyDelete

  37. @ Cherry_pie - Yes, but she had a lot of "nice things"

@ Slodger - the idea turned in my head for some time and I decided it was sweet-ish

    @ Tessa - I can see that

@ Trish - She was being robbed. I know how everyone else died too.

@ Kelli - No, he was just telling her to escape to the Oliver house.

    @ Seneca - I know the answer . . .

@ PrincessA - It's the man from chapter 5 who hits her car.

@ Cupcake - They just know, they always have and don't question it.
